For Sale: 1930 Ford Model A in Canyon Lake, California for sale in Sun City, CA

1 of 36
Vehicle Description 1930 Ford Model A Street Rod featured in two-tone black over what could best be described as Harley-Davidson red.
This street rod is built on Ford's #170-B Fordor Deluxe body by Briggs with a full vinyl-covered roof as noted in Model A catalogs as the Leatherback body.
This is a 4-window sedan as compared to the more common 6-window sedan.
The roof incorporates a custom glass Moonroof which is functional.
The car is reported to have been built in California and has covered only about 3,000 miles since it was completed.
The car has a period-correct trunk rack, and trunk (broken latch), into which the battery has been relocated.
Additional features on the exterior include a Flying Quail radiator ornament and chrome grill stone guard.
It is powered by a Ford 289 V8 mated to a Ford C4 automatic transmission with 8 rear with 3.
55 gears.
There are disc brakes up front, and drums in the rear.
There are chrome wire wheels all around with Ford logo center caps and near new Hankook tires (3822).
Further upgrades include rack & pinion steering and dual exhaust.
The interior features black vinyl with grey cloth insets, with bucket seats up front.
The custom wood dash includes VDO gauges, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with Pioneer speakers, and a button for the attention-getting Ah-Oogah horn.
The car is an older build, so there are a few chips in the paint and other patina, but the car has a really nice look and is fun to drive.
It attracts a great deal of attention at shows and cruise nights and represents a great value in an iconic Model A rod.
The car has a clean California title as a 1930 Ford.
The body is original steel.
The front fenders are fiberglass.
Mustang II independent suspension front end.
Ford 289 donor believed to be a 1965 Galaxie (block serial number:
C5AE 6015E) The top is not chopped.
No AC or heat.
The following items are new:
axels, bearings and oil seals; rear drums and brakes; shocks front and rear; springs and 4 link system on the rear; emergency brake.
The front doors need to be realigned.
Radiator has a single electric fan.
The windows go up and down (rear windows need new felt).
