The icy finish is achieved through lower-gloss clearcoat, which is applied over regular metallic-silver paint.
Cadillac says that in direct light, the paint still will glitter somewhat, but the effect will be muted.
Besides the fancy paint, the Silver Frost edition offers buyers the same 556-hp, supercharged 6.
2-liter V-8 engine, a choice of yellow or red brake calipers, and either polished or satin graphite wheels.
It also gives Cadillac a unique CTS that's curiously close--both in name and concept--to BMW's Frozen series of matte-finished M3s.
