Vehicle Description This 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 was used in the 1993 movie Demolition Man starring Sylvester Stallone, Sandra Bullock and Wesley Snipes.
It was purchased from the GM Heritage Collection on an MSO.
This is a very special 442 W-30 that is indisputably documented by its Certificate of Origin from GM.
Oldsmobile modified this car for the movie with performance options not offered to the public.
In Demolition Man, set mostly in the year 2032, this Matador Red 1970 Olds 442 W-30 is discovered by police officers John Spartan (played by Sylvester Stallone) and Lenina Huxley (played by Sandra Bullock) in the slums of San Angeles.
Using an old elevator, the car bursts up through the floor of a modern-day Oldsmobile dealership and Stallone's character drives it out of the showroom and onto the street, beginning an extensive car chase scene.
This documented, one-of-a-kind, factory-modified red 442 W-30 purchased from the GM Heritage Collection and driven by Sylvester Stallone in the 1993 box office hit Demolition Man is a highly collectible Oldsmobile muscle car.
From the Frank Tiegs Collection.
