Vehicle Description 1968 Mustang Coup, 289 V8 engine, 3 seed automatic transmission, and it has 123229 miles on it.
The Mustang was bought new at Mark Motors in El Cajon, California.
My dad and I had been looking at Mustangs for some time, starting in 1967.
One afternoon, he asked if I would go with him on an errand to get something.
We ended up at Mark Motors Ford, where we drove up to a new 1968 Mustang.
The salesman tossed me the keys, and dad said, Let's go home.
The Mustang is all original except the seat covers, and the paint is in good condition.
Dad took off the original wheel covers and replaced them with some cheap ones because he worried that they would be stolen.
I have been keeping them in the trunk.
There are some dings and dents, but no rust.
The Mustang has been kept in a garage since it was purchased.
When my dad passed away, my mother gave me the Mustang.
I kept it at her house until she passed away and moved it to my garage.
I had hoped to restore it, but I stopped working on cars, and it was time to sell it.
Before I moved it, I had the carburetor rebuilt, the gas tank replaced, and the wheel cylinders checked.
As the tires were over 15 years old, I had them replaced.
It starts easily and runs smoothly.
I have started to drive it around the neighborhood to keep it in running condition.
The Mustang has never been modified; the only things my dad has done are a valve job and a transmission rebuild.
I also have two heads from a 1965 Mustang, which would be included.
