This particular GT500 started its life at Larson Ford in White Plain, NY.
The car was stolen from the dealership soon after and was never sold.
The authorities recovered the GT500 soon after as well as the majority of the stripped parts only 17 miles away from the dealership.
The car was then auctioned and purchased by Joseph Mazza who only registered the car for proper documentation, she was never inspected nor driven on the road.
The Mustang was then again sold in August of 1986 to Bruce Riffland in Stony Point, NY.
The car was disassembled in a not to be completed restoration before it was sold to the previous owner in 1995.
The Shelby underwent an extensive restoration on a completely rust free car with 17 probable miles on the odometer (ironically the same mileage the car had when recovered 17 miles away).
This GT500 has the original window sticker, build sheet, and a plethora of original documents that were sold with the car.
Quite the unusual story and a lightly used GT500 that is in jaw dropping condition, what a ride to add to the collection!.
