For Sale: 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova in Bozeman, Montana for sale in Bozeman, MT

Vehicle Description My 1963 Chevy II Nova SS is a great driver and continuing project car.
This is a mechanically sound car that has been modernized underneath.
It runs great, never overheats, and starts on the first try every time.
It features a small block Chevy 350ci V8 with a Demon 650 carburetor and 2.
5 stainless dual exhaust to the rear.
It is backed by a Muncie M20 four speed manual transmission and a 10 bolt rear end with a Yukon posi-traction unit.
It is driveable but will require a new clutch in the future.
The front suspension has been upgraded with Church Boys rack and pinion power steering, tubular upper and lower control arms, Church Bar front sway bar, CPP 2 drop spindles, and Viking double adjustable coil-overs.
The rear suspension features 2 drop multi-leaf springs, new slip axles with 5 bolt hubs, and Viking double-adjustable struts.
The unibody is stiffened with Competition Engineering bolt in sub-frame connectors.
The Nova is stopped by a CPP Big Bore brake kit with cross drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners, a CPP power-brake booster, and stainless brake lines.
The car rides on MB Old School 17 x 8 wheels with 245/45R17 Nitto NT555 G2 tires in the rear and 225/45R17 in the front.
The entire car has been re-wired from scratch with a 21 circuit fuse and relay panel, Dolphin gauge set, and programmable shift-light.
A full as-built wiring diagram is included.
The interior has been re-done with new carpeting, Scat Pro-Car low back bucket seats, a re-covered rear bench seat, new door panels, a new dash pad, new package tray, and a Grant steering wheel.
There are lap-belts up front and no seat belts in the rear.
The body is in good but not great shape.
There is no bondo to be found and no rust.
All panels are original to my knowledge.
The paint is a single stage paint job from an unkown amount of years ago.
It is a good fifteen foot paint job - it looks good from fifteen feet away but as you get closer touch ups, cracks, and scratches are visible.
There is a crack in the windshield, however it does not impair your vision.
This car runs great and handles and stops closer to a modern sports car than a 60 year old economy car.
It is a great driver, with a little body work and a new paint job this could be real show-stopper.
A Note on VIN's, Cowl Tags, and Super Sports:
There have been a number of inquiries as to if the Cowl Tag bears out that this is a TRUE SS car.
In the early 60's Chevy II Nova's the SS package was a trim option rather than a model.
The VIN number for these cars does not indicate if the car has the SS trim package, this is only indicated on the cowl tag with a Z in the trim identifiers.
When I bought this car the Cowl Tag was supplied but had been removed by the previous owner for whatever reason.
I am disclosing this in the interest of complete transparency.
The cowl tag identifies this car as an SS trim model, the build plants indicated on the cowl tag and the VIN match, and the paint colors indicated on the cowl (Aqua exterior and Aqua Interior) , although no longer matching the current colors, do match in some areas that are still original.
The car has been sanded, primed, and repainted black at some point in its life so the original exterior color is difficult to find.
There are areas on the interior that you can still see overspray of Aqua painting.
Given that cowl tag is not factory affixed there is a possibility that this is not a true SS car - the evidence points to it being an SS, but there is no way to prove it with 100% accuracy.
If you are looking for a True SS car to restore to original I would tell you that this is not your car.
It has been modified to the point that being an SS is little more than a couple of badges - this car is a Hot Rod to drive, modify, and enjoy! More Pictures and Build List can be seen at:
