Vehicle Description 1929 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup With the huge success of the Model T other companies like GM decided to hop in to give competition.
They now caught up in the manufacturing process and could now mass produce vehicles just like Ford.
Mr.
Ford initially resisted, banking on the Model T to outshine the competition, but with GM offering some newer technology finally was persuaded by advisors that a replacement was needed.
By October of 1927 the replacement finally saw the light of day and was dubbed the Model A.
These classics have been the base of some of the coolest street rods around which make the stock ones like this 1929 Roadster Pickup really stand out.
The car has been kept very original and is currently owned by a Model T/Model A collector.
The car was restored approximately 15 years ago with 1,500 miles put on it since.
It has been very well maintained and the owner has records of what he has done to it since it came into his collection in 2019.
These things are typical maintenance items to insure it continues to be in a reliable freshly restored state.
The all original steel body is in good condition and there are no signs of rust.
The car is painted in a nice Green paint paired with Black fenders.
The manual cloth top is done in Black and raises/lowers easily.
It is a single side mount car and the spoke steel wheels are painted in Yellow.
The wood bed on it looks great with Green runners and it also has removable wood side panels.
The truck has its stock engine and transmission.
The 4 cylinder motor is painted Green and cleanly done.
It has a Zenith carb and it runs great.
It is a 6 volt system but has been upgraded with an alternator and electric fuel pump.
Within the last 3 years some of the regular maintenance includes a new battery, new points, rebuilt carburetor, new water pump, new filters, new king pins, new thrust bearing, new shims, and new bushings.
It also gets greased regularly and of course the typical stuff like oil changes.
The interior is done in all Black upholstery with a bench seat.
It is in good condition throughout and mostly the stock set up.
The only upgrades on the inside include the added Apco temperature gauge and seat belts.
This smooth running Roadster pickup is in great shape and ready for a new home.
This nicely restored Model A could be yours for $29,950.
