Vehicle Description This Springtime Yellow 1966 Mustang Convertible is now available for the first time after 35 years of long term family ownership.
The car has had just 2 owners from new and was originally purchased from Rudy Valentino Ford of Upper Darby, PA in June of 1966.
The current owner purchased the car from the original owner on July 7th of 1987.
The odometer read just 18,659 miles at that time and now shows 41,207.
This is believed to be original but is unable to be confirmed.
The current owner had the 289 V8 rebuilt in 1988.
The cylinders were bored out 0.
30 over.
This also included new rockers, lifters, push rods, new bearings, new valves and even a competition cam.
The factory 3-speed transmission shifts smoothly.
The car was cosmetically restored in 2003 and repainted in the factory Springtime Yellow.
The paint is in great condition and shows beautifully.
New floors were also installed at that time and the car is totally rust free.
The power convertible top is free of any rips or tears and operates smoothly.
The rear window was recently replaced.
The carpets was replaced in 2003 and the remaining upholstery is believed to be original.
There is a small separation on the drivers side seat that could easily be stitched back together.
The most recent service in 2019 included a new dual bowl master cylinder, 4 new wheel cylinders, new stainless steel brake lines and 4 new tires.
