Vehicle Description West Coast Classics are proud to present a beautiful example of this rare 1972 Fiat 500L (Lusso).
The car features its air cooled 499cc inline twin cylinder engine matched to its 4 speed manual transmission and its original Fiat 12 steel wheels, a retractable black vinyl sunroof and brightwork includes chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors and window and roof drip rail trim.
In September 1968 Fiat put on sale the 500 L or Lusso and about 6 cm (2.
4 in) longer than the 500 F at 3,025 mm (119 in), with a more richly trimmed and better appointed version of the standard 500 F.
Inside the dashboard was entirely covered in black anti-glare plastic material instead of being bare painted metal, and was fitted with a new trapezoid instrument binnacle replacing the round one used on all other 500 models.
The steering wheel was black plastic with metal spokes.
The door cardsupholstered in the same pleated pattern leatherette used on the seatscarried redesigned and relocated door handles and new door pockets.
More storage space was provided in the form of a tray on the centre tunnel, which like the rest of the floor was covered in carpet rather than rubber mats.
The 500 L remained on sale until 1972, when the new Fiat 126 was introduced.
This is a very original and rust free car and a very fine daily driving example of a 1972 Fiat 500L with all of it's original factory specifications and options intact and which has been repainted at some point in the past and which has only very minor imperfections or flaws in the paintwork and it's all original Black color seats interior and retractable sunroof are also in very good condition.
The engine is strong and responsive and the 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool.
