Vehicle Description FRESH REBUILT 454 WITH 4L60 TRANS BEING INSTALLED THIS WEEK 12/02/2020 Estimated HP in Excess of 600 1966 Chevelle Hard Top Have Engine back from Machine Shop, Paint is faded Front seats need attention, 454 getting ready to drop back in 1966 Chevelle in Process of fully rebuilt 454 being installed she is quick in the quarter, sat for a few years waiting to get the new engine installed, needs some minor upholstery work, and some minor body and a complete paint job, this is a really fun car $22995 Running and Driving When I purchased this car it had a small block in it, I has a early 70s 454 from a 3/4 ton truck which I changed it out for, beefed up the suspension, cooling, upgraded the steering linkage changed the gears in the rear end It had a pretty cool interior and sound system, about 2 years in, I took out a lobe on the cam, and instead of just cleaning it up and replacing the cam and lifters and perhaps going through the head, I looked it over and decided to rebuild the entire engine.
30 over crank kit the works, polished and ported the heads, and so on, well it sat for awhile while my shop manager made love to the engine, so the interior and paint got a little beat up from the Arizona Sun, but that Engine is looking pretty good.
She is about to be dropped back in, so this is the time, if you want anything special, we can add or subtract, it is also a good time to clone her to an SS, all you need is a Hood, some badging and a rear deck plate, and perhaps a few other small items a walah she will look as good as she moves There is a dent in the right rear bumper that extends a little into the quarter The price is with the newly rebuilt engine back in the car, running and driving with the same gears in the back just like she was, but a little hotter, Add $1000 for the interior work You can take care of the bodywork yourself depending on the deals you can get and what you want to do, for me to get it done would cost about $3500, or $4500 to upgrade her to an SS.
