1970s Giannini AWN 21 folk classical guitar - carved headstock for sale in Albuquerque, NM
This nice nylon string acoustic classical guitar has plenty of potential. The 24" scale length and 1-7/8" nut width are more comfortable than larger classicals for many players. It is almost as enjoyable to look at as to play, thanks to the hand carved headstock, wood binding around the rosewood sides and maple stripe on the rosewood back.I don't know if the top is spruce or cedar, but this guitar has a warm, romantic samba and bossa nova tone. Fitting, as it was made in Brasil/Brazil. Suitable for classical, folk, jazz and other genres as well.The 14-5/8" lower bout width contains a very slight belly below the bridge. It may or may not be visible in side view photos because it is slight, (noticeable if you look very closely from a side angle).The original case has some wrinkles on the bottom but the rest of the exterior is in pretty good shape and the interior is nice and fuzzy. The handle and latches work properly.No cracks. Needs strings. Beautiful, clean guitar.
