This horn has been disassembled and cleaned. Inspected for repairs and reassembled. Playtested to determine quality by experienced hornist. Leadpipe resanitized after playtest. Technical: The rotors show a good level of tightness within their casings and rotate smoothly. The valve slides show a good level of tightness within their casings and slide smoothly. Compression is good. The horn shows moderate denting throughout horn with moderate scuffs and scratches. Lacquer wear is moderate throughout horn. Bracing is secure. 3rd valve slide on Bb is missing a brace but does affect play. Previous solder work. Playtest: The horn produces a dark tone. Centering on the horn is very good throughout the range, showing very good strength in the upper and lower ranges with good focus. Horn requires good hand/bell technique. F to Bb is consistent. Horn comes with hardcase in good condition. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding the horn or hardcase. 1 of the tires has good tread, the other 3 have poor tread. They can be used as a "spare" tire for emergencies, or you can mount your winter tires on the rims in time for winter instead of having to pay each time you have your mechanic mounts or removes your snow tires. $30 for the wheel with good tread, $15 each for the others, or $60 for all 4....
