It is ready to play.Some dents removed in bell section and tuning slide, slide aligned,spot buffing and re-lacquer spots, new water key cork, new bumper, F-attachment rotor serviced and freshly restrung. Nice slide action. Scratches and dings from use are visible, original lacquer has wear and is a golden color.I called up the Conn-Selmer factory in Elkhart, Indiana to verify this model as there's a lack of info on it out there since it was in limited production. Conn-Selmer told me this instrument was made in 2003 and appears to be a limited production model that is the precursor to the current Conn Artist model 52HL that went into production in 2008. Btw, 52HL new models are currently listed for around $2700 new. This Large Bore (.547") tenor trombone features a big 8.5" bell. This will make for a great step up for an advancing student, community musician or even a pro that wants an affordable quality large bore tenor trombone, even though this may have been marketed by Conn as a step up intermediate / pro instrument, its feel and play is more pro attitude then the average run of the mill intermediate model trombone. This bone even looks and feels very similar to Conn's iconic 88H model to the untrained eye. Very nice value for this quality build of instrument.
