Rare Charcoal Art Work for sale in Lewiston, ID
I acquired this very rare and beautiful work from an estate sale here in Spokane in 1998. Albert Czulak the previous owner arrived in Spokane from Ambridge, PA. many years previously. He was the sole and remaining family descendent of Andrew and Anna Czulak. Andrew and Anna immigrated to the United States from the Austria/Hungry Empire around 1900. They were highly respected, talented, and operated an early photo studio at 528 Merchant St. in Ambridge, PA. They traveled Europe extensively returning with rare works of art. This work is a very, very rare charcoal rendering applied to parchment paper. The title on the work reads: "S. Fr. Xeivier & El Cajero, Marque De Santa Cruz, October 19, 1525" The attached photos will provide the artist's signature and more. This is a priceless piece of history. We have enjoyed this work in our home since 1998 and I'm soon to be with the Lord (age 77). I would like to see it returned to the Ambridge area and thus this offer. This work is original, very old, with documentation of interviews, etc. that I have conducted over the years. It could well be priceless. I'm open to only serious offers. It is protected by a preservation museum mount and more. Shipping via UPS insured is $695.
