Technics Sh 8033 Equalizer Sl P150 Cd Player. Here is 2 beautiful pieces of tech from the mid to late 80s. Both units are in excellent cosmetic condition. Sadly they both have issues. The Equalizer powers on and functions as intended. However the Sliders are in need of a good cleaning and the spectrum analyzer is non functional. From my research, the analyzer is most likely a cold solder joint somewhere, but I cannot confirm that. The cd player powers on, but when you place a cd in, it spins forward for a moment and then starts to spin in reverse at a high rate of speed. It will not play a cd. From my research there is a motor capacitor that needs replaced. These repairs are beyond my abilities, but someone knowledgeable with soldering skills, should be able to bring these back to life.
