1929 CONN 4D French Horn 3 slides+mouthpiece This vintage French Horn was made by CG Conn Ltd, Elkhart, In. USA - see bell. Serial No is 266741. I acquired it in 2002 via an EBay auction and am apparently the 3rd owner. The original owner was a woman who played it in High School and graduated in 1947. The original EBay listing stated that she dearly loved this horn and continued playing it throughout her lifetime, keeping to well maintained but not polished so apparently the finish is original. The horn has 3 slides, keys F, A and D. Plays well, all slides and rotary valves move freely. One larger 1/2" long ding about 15" into the bell. Other minor dings and scratches. But, for the horn' age, it is in remarkably good used condition.The case is original with CG Conn markings, showing wear and tare but usable and restorable.
