Vtg 1966 Armstrong Product Lean Stand Stool-U.S. Post Office Furniture-Ergonomic This listing is for an Ergonomic USPS Post Office Letter Sorting Stool. Description: This United States Postal stool was created by Armstrong Products Corp. in 1966. On the base of the stool, one can see the engraved marking from the maker as well as other details. Very hard to read in a few places. The plate where ones feet rest has a grit layer under the 'leather' matting. The metal surrounded the post of the stool does show minimal rust. Shown in photos. This stool can adjust up and down to different heights. A gentle pull will bring it up higher. Once the stool is extended to the maximum height 1 more singular tug up will release the seat back down to the original height. There is an option for multiple angles for back support. Like reclining lawn chairs, this stool has a similar options. There is a plate that locks the lever into place. The 'postal green' fabric covering the stool seat is original (has seen better days). Appears to be removed easily. Please refer to the photos for measurements. In excellent condition. Local Pick-Up HIGHLY Encouraged!
