For sale! Included in the auction are the following: Minolta Maxxum 5000 SLR 35mm camera, auto-focus AF50 Minolta lens, separate Promatic FTD 5200 flash unit, four manuals, and a neck cord. Seller is original owner. Camera uses four AAA alkaline batteries. When batteries are inserted, the camera powers up. (Batteries are not included. ) The battery compartment is secured with a screw that can be turned using any small coin. The camera body is in good condition. The rubber covering the battery compartment has some degrading on the edges. The camera body has a cover that locks in place when the lens is not inserted. The neck cord is adjustable for length. The Minolta AF 50 lens has two protective covers. One locks in place, but the other one is loose. (For shipping, it is taped in place. ) The camera uses DX-coded 35 mm color or black-and-white film, and the camera has auto film advance. The camera has both automatic and manual modes. The lens mount is " A" type bayonet. Lens is clean and clear. The Promatic FTD 5200 flash unit attaches to the top of the camera and requires four 1.5v penlight batteries. It provides Through-the-lens (TTL) control of the flash. Manuals included are the Maxxum Owner's Manual, a quick start guide, a lens manual, and a manual for the Promatic FTD 5200 flash unit.
