Vintage 1966 GE C-546A Tube AM Clock Radio for sale in Mchenry, IL
This is a very nice table model General Electric AM Tube Radio Model C-546A. It is a Tube AM Clock Radio that was introduced and produced in 1966 & 1967. Please note: This radio is complete but is not working - It only produces a hum. I replaced all five of the tubes (which are still installed in the radio) in an effort to resolve the issue but this did not make any difference. As mentioned, the new tubes go along with this radio so my loss is your gain! Refer to the pictures to see condition. Description: The outer case is made of plastic and is colored "Honey Beige". It features a champagne gold colored clock face. The internal neon bulb works and gives off a soft orange glow on the clock face so that it can be seen in the dark. The beige cloth grill with gold flecks is completely intact and in very nice condition. The volume and tuner knobs rotate smoothly as they should. The clock keeps accurate time and the alarm, on, off, auto functions work with ease. The original power cord is attached to the back of the radio and acts as a "interlock" safety that unplugs when the back is removed. Length = 11" / Width = 5-1/2" (back of radio to end of volume knob) / Height = 6-1/4" (base to top of snooze button) This is the perfect radio to add to any "old time radio" collection! Thanks for looking!
