Traditional Asian motifs imprinted throughout a Faux tortoise shell painted finish with finely detailed incised pagoda motif and tones of red, yellow and green painted detail. Produced in 1978, a rare find indeed! This is a rare and gorgeous work of art, Chinoiserie altar table, by Mario Buatta for John Widdicomb is from the The Mario Buatta collection for Widdicomb and was among his highest priced furniture in the collection. The wood and the beauty of the carved polychromed decorations standout and make this a statement piece. It's solid wood very well constructed, heavy, hand carved, hand-painted piece of work. Measurements: 62.25"W x 26"H x 16.25"D Its appearance is in excellent condition there's no chips or cracks or breaks for its age it's nearly perfect condition.
