1925 Bacon and Day Tenor Banjo Silver Bell No.1 w Upgrade Tone Ring & Tuners. This is from the estate of an old member of a Mummers string band. If you don't know Mummers...they're a longtime Philadelphia institution. A google search may be worth a few minutes. Anyway, this was cared for and is ready to play. The tuners were upgraded to Schaller planetary gold tuners, and the tone ring is also upgraded. Sometime in the life of this banjo, there were a few repairs made and then what appears to be newer shellac or varnish on the back where slight buckle rash can be seen. The soft mute had been removed and is not with this. There is a strap and a heavy duty guitar gig bag with banjo padding inside. Please look at photos and ask all questions before bidding or buying.
