Thisis an Artley Model 18-0 flute that was made in the USA. It hasbeen refurbished and is ready for school band or orchestra. Itis a nickel plated instrument and makes a great choice for thestudent musician. No silver to tarnish or polish. Hundreds of thousands have been used byschool students over many decades to learn to play music. The instrument wascompletely stripped and detail cleaned and polished. All pads andnecessary corks were replaced. Additionally the keys andsprings were adjusted for proper action, and the instrumentplayed to make sure it will play well. Thebody of the instrument is in very good plus condition. Thecase is also in very good plus used condition and is cleanin and out. Thehorn plays and sounds good and is ready to go. Noexpensive trips to the local music store needed. Whyrent when you can own a quality American-made instrument for muchless than the cost of a new one. Thinkingabout a new Chinese or Indian-made instrument? They're realpretty, but you risk parts breakage due to thin metal. And ifsomething breaks, you have what they call a "throw-away" hornbecause there are no replacement parts available. For those reasons.most shops won't work on them. THISIS IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER. Theprice of my refurbished instruments is less than most shops chargejust for a repad job. And if you decide to try your luck withan untested used horn, chances are you will have to take it to a shopfor repairs often costing $100-200 or more.
