The mattress has an expected life span of 8 to 10 years, so even if it us used, it is not overused. The bed head has a slight inclination which makes it comfortable to read while sitting in the bed. The slatted frames are not completely flat, but slightly bended for a better comfort.No Shipping, pick up only.The bed frame can be quite easily unscrewed into smaller pieces if needed for the transport. Just keep in mind that two of the pieces will still be a bit more than 6 feets long.
