Vintage 1970's Charles Hollis Jones End Side Accent Table Rare Gold Brass & Silver Chrome with Square Lucite Legs CHJ Designs...Furniture Designer to the Stars This is for BASE ONLY MidCentury Modern, Hollywood Regency, Contemporary Glistening Brass & Chrome Circular Stretchers & Hardware, This table was purchased new in New York City 1974 Base Measures 20" high X 18" diameter, Original glass is 24" diameter (not included unless local pickup) Excellent condition. Very little signs of wear or tarnish. Replacement Glass can be purchased on internet for around $50. Original glass had small chip, not worth the expense to ship. Included pics so you can see what it looks like with the glass. If local pick up the glass can go with it. He designed a four-poster bed for Sylvester Stallone and JLo owns his "Trelliage" coffee table. Furniture designer to the stars Charles Hollis Jones pioneered the use of acrylic and Lucite in his designs beginning the 1960s, the golden age of plastics. Born in Bloomington, Indiana in 1945, Jones began his career at the age of 16. After graduating from high school, relocated permanently to Los Angeles. Six months later, he became head designer for the prestigious furniture and accessory showroom Hudson-Rissman, where he developed his first designs for acrylic and metal furnishings with invisible joints that became his trademark. After seven years, he left Hudson-Rissman and established his own firm, CHJ Designs. Charles Hollis Jones lives in Los Angeles and continues to design furniture and decorative accessories.
