Sony TC-WR550Z Twin Cassette Deck - Dolby B C S - ** New belts but see notes ** I have for sale a Sony TC-WR550Z twin cassette deck / tape with Dolby B C and Dolby S. This unit has scratches, scuffs and scrapes on it, mostly on the top (Please see the photos.) ** In 2016 I bought and installed new belts for this and it worked perfectly. Right after this it went into storage. Today when testing this, it is having trouble playing. It seems to play OK-ish on the right deck and can do AMS search, and FF and REW seem to work fine, but sometimes i can hear a lot of speed issues. In comparison the left deck is really struggling. I do not know if those new belts went bad just 4 years later, or if the mechanism needs easing back into work (Note that since listing this it has been in storage, so the second deck belt may have deteriorated too). The mechanism does raise to engage the head, and the head will turn for auto reverse with no problem, but when it tries to play it has clicking noise. See photo of belt purchase, maybe you can persuade that seller to replace the belts because in my opinion them failing after a week use and in storage for 4 years is not good. ** ** LOOK AT THE PHOTOS.
