Florida-Regency Peacock fan chairs (with ottomans for sale in Port Charlotte, FL
Stunning Florida-regency seating set evoking Hemingway's old Florida or the breezy veranda of an island estate (or Martha Stewart's latest Tostito's commercial? ?--eBay prohibited upload of pic), these peacock fan chairs with ottomans are in near-perfect condition. In fact, they've barely been sat in! They were featured in a enclosed lanai (moved outside for pics only...see real estate listing pic for how used in staging).Not only the impressive focal point of any setting, these warm caramel-brown thrones are also sturdy and comfortable. The grand fan back is complemented by dramatic sweeping curved arms. The sophisticated bamboo rattan fretwork combines both linear and circular designs, while strong, neat (& completely unfrayed) wicker lashing reinforces every connection point. The comfortable padded seat boasts a tight unmarred weave, richly offset by custom Wedgwood-inspired (off-white & blue palm leaf print) throw pillows, (also in near perfect condition). The paired ottomans carry through these design elements, with noble curved arms and matching custom upholstered cushions (w velcro "ties").[Note: we alternatively staged the ottomans as side tables by replacing the cushions with a fitted complementary-finished wood inset (~16"x12"). Of course, this could also easily be achieved by simply topping the cushions with a decorative serving tray.]There are a very few, very minor imperfections such as the small scratches on the back of the fan arch where the chair scraped against a wall (as shown in last pic).Originally sold by Bloomingdales for $1699 EACH (before custom cushions/pillows).
