Summary:
The Manager, Council Relations works collaboratively with colleagues and across the Council, supports the Assistant Vice President's leadership, and provides support to team members in carrying out shared goals and objectives.
The Manager, Council Relations is primarily responsible for contributing to the development, and management of the development of the member relations program for the Council that supports the strategic initiatives.
They are also responsible for the implementation of the agenda by conducting research, collecting and analyzing data, drafting reports, and developing content in various formats to support staff, programs and services.
This position requires regular interface with NCARB member boards and focuses on issues related to architectural registration laws and regulations in support of NCARB Member Boards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Open Build coalitions internally and externally (with peers, direct reports, team members, Member Boards, volunteers, collateral and associated organizations, etc.
) to share best practices and achieve common goals.
Facilitate cooperation and teamwork throughout the organization.

Lead and manage direct reports to implement goals, objectives and priorities of the Council (if applicable).

Core Responsibilities - Department Specific Member Board Relations Implement work plans to advance state licensing boards' adoption of Council programs, services and initiatives.
Develop technical assistance tools to be used by state licensing boards to assist in the ongoing implementation of Council programs, services and initiatives.
Utilize internal tools and external software applications to track state licensing boards' statues and rules updates.
Distill findings and analyses into reports, memos, and fact sheets to be used by other state licensing boards and internal teams.
Respond to inquiries from state licensing boards, Collateral partners, and internal teams regarding statues and rules at the state level.
Collaborate with senior team members to provide research support for strategic initiatives.
Manage the Member Board requirements tool by monitoring state licensing board websites, and staying abreast of statues and rules changes.
Outreach and Education Prepare briefings and supporting material for senior level staff and officers for outreach visits to Member Boards and AIA state components.
Develop blog posts and other external communications based on analysis of state licensing boards' statues and rules review.
Project Management Assist senior team with planning of project tasks.
Provide committee support for Council committees as directed.
Assist with administrative duties such as supporting and organizing events and conferences, database management, and special projects as needed.

Bachelor's Degree; or, combination of substantial related experience, training, and education may substitute.
5 or more years of relevant experience that includes strong analytical skills and competence to undertake research assignments with minimal supervision, a customer-centric mindset and strong interpersonal skills, excellent research skills and attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and, well-developed presentation and reporting skills.
Prior experience with regulatory agencies and/or state government desired.
Demonstrated proficiency using technology and a wide variety of software applications to include Adobe (PDF) Applications and Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
Some minimal travel including weekends will occasionally be required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
