The Motor Vehicle Operator/Wheelchair Inventory Manager drives the shuttle bus as a primary vehicle and/or seven-passenger van, as a backup vehicle, during Inclement weather. Incumbent drives to and from facility parking lots. Though incumbent is not driving lengthy distances, repetitive driving occurs resulting in several miles driven per day. Incumbent is responsible for completion of any required paperwork and reporting any vehicle problems. This position alternates driving duties with Wheelchair Issuance Desk duties. When not scheduled to drive, the incumbent manages the Wheelchair Desk by issuing a wheelchair upon request. The incumbent obtains appropriate information, maintains a custody log, and sterilizes wheelchairs upon return. Work Schedule:

Experience:

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Incumbent Is confronted with all types of weather. Required to drive during inclement weather, including snow, ice, heavy wind, and rain. The incumbent Is subject to extreme temperature changes since the duties require them to go from the heated environment out Into the cold and vice versa. If needed, incumbent may be required to work additional hours, unscheduled.
