Lead Medical Reimbursement Technician

Distribute and balance the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization, assure timely accomplishment of the assigned workload and assure that each employee has enough work to keep busy. Give on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices. Maintain a current knowledge and answer questions of other employees on procedures, policies, directives, and obtain needed information or decisions from supervisor on problems that come up. Estimate and report on expected time of completion of work, and maintain records of work accomplishments and time expended, prepares production reports as requested. Keep in touch with the status and progress of work, and make day-today adjustments in accordance with established priorities, obtaining assistance from the supervisor on problems that may arise, such as back logs which cannot be disposed of promptly. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization to qualify for the GS-07. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Audit accounts, ensuring payments recovered by insurance carriers are posted in a timely manner to accounts. Report to supervisor on performance, progress and training needs of employees. Distribute and balance the workload among employees in accordance with established workflow. Validate claims for billing purposes, ensuring eligibility and referring questionable coding for review. Instruct employees in specific tasks and job techniques and make available written instructions, reference materials and supplies. Note:
Evidence of specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation of duties performed in positions held on your resume. You must provide work experience information such as hours per week, salary, and starting/ending dates of employment (month and year format) to establish you have one (1) full year of Specialized Experience at or comparable to the required grade level. Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary with long periods of sitting at a desk, working with computers daily. Some work may require walking in offices and similar areas for meetings. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite. The work does not require any special physical effort. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
