Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 pay band or equivalent GS-13 level in Federal service illustrating the following:
Experience planning and executing policies and programs, and providing guidance in one or more of the following areas:
emergency preparedness, workforce development, and intergovernmental and interagency collaboration and community outreach. Conducting program evaluations to identify areas of ineffectiveness and/or inefficiency, recommending solutions, and long/short range strategic planning. Experience should include program or project management responsibility in the areas listed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13/NH-03). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13/NH-03).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
