Senior Principal Systems Engineer

The RVS Systems Engineering Department is seeking a talented and experienced engineer to join our team in the System Design and Analysis (SDA) section.
The Senior Principal Systems Engineer drives engineering design & execution with a multi-disciplined engineering team through development and integration of the product.
The SDA Engineer defines the architecture for the Electro-Optic Imaging Sensor and models EO performance for the system.
Typical activities include:
Define architecture for Electro-Optic Imaging Systems to include infrared camera cores, focal plane arrays, Read-Out Integrated Circuits, and integrated Dewar assemblies.
Characterize/Model EO performance and relate into Specifications & Models Radiometric and test data analysis Technical leadership and support from new technology to production activities Required Skills:
Minimum of 10 years professional engineering experience.
Demonstrated technical leadership on complex technology programs.
Experiences of infrared systems and/or focal plane assembly component technologies & performance.
Strong analytical skills, experience in infrared systems, radiometric analysis, measurements, and testing Ability to make decisions, effectively lead tasks and meet challenging deadlines.
Experience with MATLAB, C+
or related languages Electro-Optics systems performance analysis Ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with others.
Ability to multi-task in a rapid paced environment Strong communication abilities, both verbally and written Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security clearance US Citizenship Desired Skills:
Experience with EVMS or other program management methodologies Knowledgeable of software and electronics design engineering.
Ability to obtain a SSBI clearance.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical discipline Desired Education:
Advanced Degree Preferred U.

Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.
S.
Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
