SUMMARY OVERVIEW Our Client seeks a highly motivated individual to assist in growing the new Vendor Management Office (VMO) function within the IT department.
The vendor administrator will report to the IT Vendor Manager.
This is an exciting new opportunity to learn about all aspects of the vendor management functions within a growing regulated organization AND gain exposure various IT and non-IT roles through interaction with other team members and service providers.
Though some level of applicable business experience is preferred, no prior VMO experience is necessary.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES Must be organized and reliable Desires to consistently perform at a high level Possesses an appetite to learn new skills, processes, and tools Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES VENDOR AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION Work with the vendors to draft, review, and execute contracts Best practice technology tools for contract creation, approval, and reporting Communicate with project stakeholders Collaborate internally with members of IT, Legal, Insurance, and Risk, to develop contracts that optimize value and mitigate risk Gather vendor security and performance information for review by the client's security personnel Research and apply contract best practices to agreements including billing methods, contractor expense guidelines, and definition of required deliverables Gather information and manage requests to onboard new vendors and team resources Identify improvement opportunities in the IT VMO and procurement and reporting practice QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION A four-year Bachelors' degree.
