The primary objective Oracle / MS SQL Database Administrator position will be to provide Database Administration support.
This includes but is not limited to:
Database application, development, and operational support for Oracle 10g, 11g & 12c and SQL Database Administration Technical consulting to departments in the implementation of key business changes related to the client database in both Windows and Linux environments Strong analytical skills Ability to communicate orally and written in a professional manner Works well independently or in a team setting.
Work with database and application vendors on support as required
Job Description:
Provide technical assistance to departments or vendors in the implementation of key business applications.
Deploy, configure, maintain and monitor Oracle and MSSQL databases.
Administer and support databases and applications in both Windows and Linux environments.
Administer and support data replication to remote databases.
Develop and implement database and/or OS scripting to automate repetitive tasks.
As in database and batch jobs, PL/SQL, stored procedures, etc.
Manage the installation and testing of Oracle and/or MS SQL RDBMS and/or application updates, patches, application software releases, etc.
Administer and control database objects including stored procedures, links, tables, indices, jobs, etc.
Monitor database status and tune performance; execute database recovery procedures as required, using Oracle Enterprise Manager and MS SQL Management Studio.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and five (5) years full-time experience as a Database Administrator, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to successfully perform the essential functions.
