IT Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES As the leader in their area of assignment, the position manages the programming and systems, operations and network/communication services to maintain current production service requirements and future opportunities the corporation elects to pursue to advance our customers and our company.
The IT Manager is expected to be proactive and bring together contributions from separate resources and align them to advance assigned projects to timely completion.
Technical and Projects Advanced expertise in the field of IT.
Manage and lead Software development and Networking projects.
Design databases, develop systems architecture, write technical specifications, mange validation and verifications processes and oversee life cycle of software development on AS400 and other server based platforms.
Adopt latest project management techniques like agile development processes to successfully complete projects.
Perform critical business analysis to align IT with the business objectives.
Communicate throughout all levels of the organization and with both internal and external customers.
Ensure appropriate planning activities are completed with required resources to meet project milestones.
Promote teamwork across all organizations; develop self and others through training, coursework, and practical activities.
Lead and guide Software development activities across all companies of Honda Logistics North America.
Mentor and train software project leads and teach agile project management methodologies.
Provide software services to the customer, Auto manufactures, to improve their material handling and logistics operations.
Ensure customer interactions are conducted with professionalism.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Experience in driving process improvement, functional design and organizational vision.
Capability to develop technology professionals with high expectations, a collaborative style and a focus on continuous improvement, quality and planning.
Excellent analytical, logical reasoning and written & verbal communication skills.
Prepare quotes with backup documentation.
Departmental Responsibilities Establish and maintain effective and efficient organization of the programming, systems, operation and networking group.
Maintain all regulatory and SOX compliance requirements aligning activities with deployed management systems.
Prepare and monitor departmental budgets.
Communicate company/department vision and direction to all associates.
Maintain daily, positive and productive communication with staff.
Foster a positive work environment; exemplify ethical work habits and adhere to policies.
Accept accountability for department; coach and counsel as warranted and develop relationships across all level.
Interact & coordinate activities w/ outside contractors and service providers.
Develop the business plan and set departmental goals consistent with company's goals.
Set & monitor associate performance and training goals; prepare and conduct performance reviews.
Promote teamwork across all organizations; develop self and others through training, coursework, and practical activities.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION 15 years of experience in IT including 5 years in a managerial role.
Bachelors degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Experience in logistics business vertical, specifically the automotive industry.
Exposure and hands on experience with IBM iSeries platform.
Experience with iSeries environment including programming background, iTera, Aldon, and Websphere MQ.
Experience in network infrastructure and technology environments including routers, switches, controllers, VPN, firewall, IDS (Intrusion detection systems), WAN (Wide Area Network) support, LAN (Local Area Network) support and RF / Wireless are added advantage.
Experience in professional project management practices and PMP / Agile PM concepts.
Exposure to ERP, Supply Chain, MRP and Lean manufacturing is preferred.
Experience in SDLC methodology for information systems.
Experience in Business Intelligence tools like Business Objects is preferred.
Experience in MS Office Power point, Excel, Word, Visio, and Project.
Demonstrated experience with UI and software development on hand-held computers.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
