Application Developer
Bring your expertise to one of Chicago's most premier marketing communications and printing company located in Morton Grove, IL as a Back-End Application Developer.
Position is full-time with the company.
Work with state of the art Automation Driven Solutionsusing Software Applications connected to the largest Fortune companies in healthcare, finance, insurance, pharma, gaming, marketing, and more.
The IT Application Developer develops, support and maintain various software applications and related databases to support the companys services and operations.
Applications may include but not limited to shopping cart websites, inventory, and Windows/Web services and executables for data processing automation.
The infrastructure is Microsoft based.
NET up to 4.
x, SQL Server 2014 +, AngularJS & Angular 4 +, and other tools/utilities.
Developers work independently or as part of a small team to develop new systems or enhance existing ones.
Collaborate with technical architects and project managers to design and implement effective solutions for clients and internal operations.
Job Responsibilities Contribute to design document details for architecture, functionality and time estimates.
Create and maintain database content (tables, views, stored procedures, functions, SSIS packages).
Produce coding which meets functional specifications accurately and with an appropriate level of robustness to handle errors and unexpected content.
Code will be self-documented, clearly organized, structured and reusable.
Interface with QA to resolve bugs and provide corrective actions.
Communicate with project management about status of work and any issues with work in progress.
Recording log of time spent and details related to tasks, bugs, fixes assigned.
Adhere to all policies and procedures related to security and protecting privacy of client and company information.
Role may work directly with confidential client data containing protected health information and/or personally identifiable information and individual must complete annual HIPAA training.
Support other tasks and responsibilities, both permanent and temporary as assigned or directed by management.
Experience Overall 5
years experience as an Application Developer including:
Experience in software development with Microsoft.
NET and SQL Server technologies.
Ability to work from technical specifications to create appropriate code which follow naming conventions and coding standards.
Ability to work with project management and IT Architect to identify best practices and alternative designs considerations.
Experience in inventory/order management systems is a helpful.
Proficiency in software development life cycle.
Proficiency in English.
