Data Analyst
Responsibilities:
Kforce has a client in search of a Data Analyst in Monterey Park, California (CA).
Service Task 1:
Data and Impact Analysis:
Fieldglass worker will support the company in the documentation and analysis of the data linkages from Systems of Records (SoRs) to downstream systems; The following features will be identified and documented for each Key Data Item (KDI) and associated items:
Analyze large datasets and perform impact analysis of identified issues Work with Impacted Systems to analyze ETL code and perform root cause analysis of issues Document findings and prepare analysis presentations for stakeholders Database schema and file specifications of SoRs and downstream systems Data mapping and ETL logic from SoRs to downstream systems, including any and all intermediary systems Filtering and transformation logic Record counts Scheduling jobs and configurations Service Task 2:
Fieldglass worker shall understand the requirements and approach for Risk & Compliance application projects and work with the customer on the design, development, and testing and deployment phases as defined by the ITPD process:
Planning Engage potentially impacted system/application managers based on the BRD Requirements, DRD and KDE candidates Drive to gather system/application attributes on each potentially impacted system with a custom Questionnaire/survey Drive to gather current state data mapping for each system Drive to gather data/file attributes for each system Drive collaboration with the Enterprise Architect for delivery of an approved Architecture Solution Document (ASD) Create a high-level dataflow or wireframe diagram for use during our initial engagement with all the system/application leads and Technology Stakeholders Create and merge DRD, file attribute and current state data-mapping into workbook Create ISA Work Breakdown Structure and merge with PM WBS when feasible REQUIREMENTS:
Must have some Engineering, Computer Science background This position is a blend of IT and PM skills; 1 person is needed for 2 projects Must understand the design and architecture (doesn't need to be an SME) Definite understanding of UI, dataflow, mapping, nuances of data, must have leadership skills, it's a matrix environment, very good communication skills, must be proactive, take this as your own business, keep people together Banking experience is a must BSA AML and Sanctions is preferred 70% of the work is data mapping and 30% is functional Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
