Firmware Engineer

Position:
Full-Time, Direct-Hire Cannot Sponsor Candidates Cannot Work Corp-to-Corp Duties &
Responsibilities:
Design and implement embedded software (firmware) for new products.
Maintain existing embedded software.
Troubleshoot hardware/firmware problems/failures and to find root-cause; proposing solutions; making recommendations for improvements.
Develop and maintain build and automated test procedures.
Perform software testing and verification; develop test scripts.
Work with technicians, engineering, and consultant staff as needed.
Provide support to Technical Support staff and select customers.
Present internal training to support and sales staff.
May require some domestic and international travel.
The work environment is a production and engineering area and typical business office.
Requirements:
Minimum BSCE or BSEE with 5-7 years of firmware/board level development experience.
Embedded programming experience in C, assembly, ADC, USB, TCP/IP, SPI, and I2C.
Excellent at documenting the code and presenting/driving a code design review.
Ability to participate and contribute at the schematics design reviews.
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to interact with engineering and other technical staff.
Understanding of analog and digital circuits and data acquisition design principals.
Experience with ARM Cortex Mx, IAR Embedded Workbench, IEEE 1588, MSP430, CAN, C#, Linux, VHDL or Verilog a big plus.
Project leadership experience and capability.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
