Systems Engineer, Senior
Key Role:
Support system integration and system performance evaluation on a large systems implementation program. Develop, design, and test embedded circuits. Lead electrical engineering design of mission critical systems from concept to production readiness for complex military systems, including substantive power components and concepts. Perform a variety of tasks and direct a systems engineering team to extract and compile data from field notes, technical manuals, lab reports, and bench tests. Develop information regarding operational failures and modifications. Collect input from a variety of sources, prepare and coordinate deliverables, conduct analysis, and communicate findings to the project team, the client, and decision makers.
Basic
Qualifications:
8
years of experience with system integration and system performance evaluation
Experience with supporting the complete testing and qualification of the deliverable system
Ability to develop, design, and test embedded circuits or circuit board layouts
Ability to analyze systems requirements and design a solution with minimal guidance
Ability to integrate power supplies, power electronics, and cables and design and integrate cable assemblies and electrical connectors and interfaces
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and IT tools
Ability to recommend engineering solutions and strategies to senior management and defend technical analysis to subject matter experts
Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary technical team consisting of systems, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers
Secret clearance
BS degree in Engineering
Additional
Qualifications:
Experience with supporting programs and contracts in the federal government, including defense acquisition programs
Experience with designing for EMI, transient suppression, and filtering
Knowledge of power electronics and systems
Knowledge of electromagnetic theory and EMI control
BS degree in EE and 5
years of experience with electrical engineering for high reliability military systems
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
