Logistics Manager
Job Description:
The Logistics Manager provides inventory control and the shipping/receiving of equipment from both CONUS and OCONUC locations. The Logistics Manager will procure hardware and software in support of Joint Program Office (JPO) requirements. The Logistic Manager will maintain a knowledge base of multiple vendors and perform market research for new vendors to expand the knowledge base. The Logistics Manager will implement established processes to ensure Government acceptance of purchases/equipment at all receiving sites.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain Inventory control of all hardware using DPAS
2. Shipping and receiving of hardware using FEDEX online tracking enterprise
3. Maintaining up-to-date inventory of government-owned software and hardware
4. Providing services for storage, handling and distribution of hardware
5. Process equipment transfers using DPAS and DD form 1149 to both CONUS and OCONUS sites using commercial and government shipping services
6. Coordinate the discarding of excess equipment with the Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO)
7. Provide weekly activity report reflecting the logistics activity and research and provide quotes/pricing for material necessary to support customer requirements
8. Procure hardware and software in support of Joint program office requirements
9. Maintain a knowledge base of multiple vendors
10. Maintain performance order list for standard hardware/software bundles Maintain help desk logs, prepare daily status reports, monitor supported systems, and report systems outages
11. Perform market research and vendor negotiations geared to best value
12. Provide inputs necessary to sustain the JDISS Operations Support and Logistics Management Plan.
13. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
REQUIRED: TS/SCI
EDUCATION/
Experience: Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 10-12 years of related experience, with one to two years supervisory/management experience.
