Job Grade: JG1
New BD state of the art injection molding facility starting up in Columbus, NE to manufacture medical devices. BD has a number of injection molding sites located worldwide. This site will be the Center of Excellence of injection molding for one of the largest injection molding companies in the world. Factory of the future technologies employed at the Center of Excellence will include all electric injection molding presses, automatic resin handling systems, in-mold sensor technology, robotic part removal, automated component handling and inspection and automated mold changes. Provides mechanical support to assigned department to achieve production and quality goals. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and practices and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support department production by keeping machines in proper working order.
2. Maintain equipment to reduce down time by performing required PM's.
3. Order replacement parts as required.
4. Identify and implement process improvements, using the CIR process.
5. Assist with Engineering projects when required.
6. Required to work during plant shut down periods to perform PM's and assist with Engineering projects.
7. Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION
This position supervises: None
Hourly Associate
DELIVERABLES
Standardization and configuration of assigned equipment according to specifications
Elimination of reoccurring equipment problems
Continuous improvements to equipment-related waste and quality performance
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education:
This position has the following educational requirements: High School Diploma/GED
Preferred: Associates Degree
Minimum Required
Field(s) of Study:
Mechanical or other related field
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities (KSA's):
Mechanical/Technical Systems: Proficient
Equipment troubleshooting: Proficient
Electrical: Basic
Computer: Basic
Minimum Physical Requirements or Demands:
Defined PCP level: 4
