Cat Scan Tech
The position consists of every other Saturday, first shift position. Under the supervision of the Lead C.T. technologist, and following established procedures, performs C.T. scanning, venipuncture, and teleradiography. Responsible for performing diagnostic C.T. scans on patients in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient's illness and/or injury; performs related tasks such as assisting patients in positioning for correct anatomical exposure, has sufficient knowledge of patient to verify appropriateness of exam, maintains order and cleanliness of work area, and performs routine clerical tasks.
Holiday, weekend on-call & mandatory shifts are also included in this position; further description of these requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
Education and experience requirements:
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and C.T. Technology, and Massachusetts Radiation Control License required. Successful completion of an intravenous certification class provided by this institution within completion of the 12 week probationary period.
Toshiba & Siemens equipment experience preferred.
