Job Description
Located in Cranberry, PA the Digital Marketing Analyst I is strategic and tactical owner for one or more digital marketing channels. Incumbents act as the primary liaison to the end customer and various stakeholders to communicate project or campaign activities. As the main customer contact they are responsible for defining the scope on projects or campaigns, setting and controlling customer expectations and maintaining the overall customer relationship. Incumbents co-manage the functional and technical track leads of the project and directly influence online customer experience and project priorities. They contribute to the achievement of business or marketing objectives by identifying opportunities for effective use of technology and coordinating the development, implementation and support of IT digital marketing solutions.
Digital Marketing Analyst I communicates regularly with internal and external customers, as appropriate, in order to ensure the delivery of high quality service and support. The Digital Marketing Analyst I maintains general knowledge of various business processes used by systems applications across PPG's business units and may participate in the business support planning process. This includes analyzing department needs and planning/recommending appropriate marketing platforms or technologies to customers and senior management. In this capacity, they must maintain awareness of current IT and marketing projects within PPG and planned projects in their own IT group to promote best practice sharing.
Digital Marketing Analyst I will have supervisory responsibility for a small team of Digital Marketing Analysts. They will be directly responsible for planning and executing Digital Marketing strategy for a number of PPG businesses.
Email Marketing
The Digital Marketing Analyst I will be responsible for building an eCRM strategy for PPG including email acquisition and day-to-day management of multiple email marketing campaigns. This position will work with the digital marketing group and marketing teams to execute email marketing strategies across multiple B2C and B2B brands.
This position will be responsible for building a five-year road map to develop a best-in-class retail and ecommerce strategy for converting through email, as well as building email creative, including working with copywriters, designers and developers to ensure all campaigns follow best practices. This position will also be responsible for subscriber list quality, growth and optimization. The candidate will be expected to improve email marketing campaign efficiency and increase KPIs.
Technical
The Digital Marketing Analyst I is an experienced digital marketing professional. They provide leadership across multiple brands and channels, and give direction to both PPG employees, contract resources and external partners. Incumbents must have the ability to develop and maintain fully integrated campaign plans which specify goals, deliverables, staffing, scheduling, risk assessment, and KPIs. They are responsible for monitoring and reporting to management on the status of campaign efforts and are held accountable for controlling campaign plans and costs. This includes consulting with management or customers to review campaign proposals to determine goals, time frame, and procedures for accomplishing campaign staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
Digital Marketing Analyst I possess knowledge of commonly used and emerging digital marketing channel concepts and best practices. They assure that channel team members adhere to internal standards and procedures for campaign tracking, reporting, design, development, documentation, and quality assurance. Incumbents work with other channel teams, project leaders, development teams, business customers, and quality assurance to translate end-customer needs into digital marketing channel strategies and tactics. They coordinate and often participate in the preparation of detailed plans from which campaigns will be developed.
Interpersonal
The Digital Marketing Analyst I is highly organized, articulate, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading and delegating within a team structure. Incumbents must be able to interact with individuals at all levels. They facilitate communication between technical and non-technical resources on a project. This includes the coordination of teams in different areas and regions, including external clients. Digital Marketing Analyst I fosters and maintains good working-relationships with marketing customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels. They possess good coaching skills and regularly coach team members. As a team leader, they plan work for others to meet project and campaign deadlines.

Minimum Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related discipline
5-7 years of email marketing experience including a thorough understanding of digital marketing concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies.
Experience with ExactTarget, or other enterprise-level platforms
Preferred

Skills
Strong project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation.
Experienced leadership of cross-functional teams.
Knowledge in extensive range of online marketing technologies, platforms, and partners
Proven ability to create and execute successful digital marketing strategies and campaigns
Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term objectives.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
