Position Description:
In the Accountant role, qualified individuals will be responsible for the following duties:
Track/Review customer contracts for purpose of generating unit and/or progress invoicing.
Generate manual invoicing, credits and debits
Assemble bank guarantees and letter of credits.
Actively participate in the resolution of AR disputes using Appian software and weekly meetings with PM's.
Become/maintain backup status to Export Compliance Coordinator.
Perform monthly sales tax, backlog, bookings and project & product line profitability reporting.
Reconcile accounts, communicate variances and forecast areas of job relevance.
Timely submission of financial records and/or BPC reporting.
Perform compliance requirements per SOX, PWC, and tax audit.
Identify the need of cross training and ensure adequate learning activities taken place in order to maintain continuous support to financial closing and reporting requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of manufacturing accounting experience
Prior experience in progress invoicing required
Experience or exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley principles and implementation
Detail oriented, strong analytical skills and commitment to deliver quality results
Experience with SYMIX, Oracle or other major ERP systems
Must be able to work independently and self-motivated.
Preferences:
Ability to adapt to a changing environment - Willingness and eagerness to learn
