Our Filtration and Additives group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor supporting our plant operations in Youngsville, NC. This hands on maintenance position will be responsible for front line supervision and leadership of safety, planning, scheduling and work execution to assure that plant assets are maintained in manner that is driven by reliability based maintenance. This includes providing direction of 1 6 production assistants that will be supporting maintenance activities.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Maintain all perlite processing equipment related to receipt and storage of crude perlite, expansion, sizing, packaging, warehousing, and shipments of products.
Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance plan of all equipment at the site including mechanical conveyers and elevators, gas furnaces, cyclones and classifiers, bag-house separators, pneumatic conveyance fans and blowers.
Shared budget responsibility.
Physically conducts maintenance functions and supervises staff that are supporting maintenance tasks
Interact with personnel in operations, quality control, maintenance, engineering, EH&S, and outside vendors.
Ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory guidelines i.e. FCC, and Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
ADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
Review trends developed from predictive maintenance, process operating time, and USDT to revise the preventative maintenance schedule.
Obtain bids for replacement and new equipment.
Maintain equipment and component assembly and detail drawings, along with manuals for reference in maintaining equipment and processes.
Assist with the location and installation of new equipment.
Assure that all employees are trained and that work practices meet all requirements under OSHA and Imerys safety protocols.
Hold safety meetings and conducts safety audits.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
Develop a weekly plan and define and share job priorities.
Assists production personnel in implementing changes in control systems or other items, as needed.
Performs other duties as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

years of experience in the maintenance functions and supervision.
Familiarity with ladder logic, PLC control, and Allen Bradley control systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, and understand symbols for electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Working knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems.
Working knowledge and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and wiring.
Ability to competently weld both ferrous and nonferrous metals.
