Summary:
To handle receiving, inspection and shipment of all production materials for GPI customers, under minimal supervision. To communicate with sales service, suppliers and the plants to meet the graphic specifications required by the customers. Provide assistance for department technical functions and maintain documentation.
POSITION
Responsibilities:
Receive, analyze and ship production materials based on GPI needs and specifications
Communicate directly with suppliers to secure approved prepress materials
Communicate directly with all departments within the company to pass along production materials and written information necessary for the understanding of those materials
Perform job assembly and production and process Work Orders as they are made available
Actively participate in roles vital to daily technical operations in the Printing Department
Responsible for graphic related items for all new business and transfer items.
Central point of contact with Concord Graphics, Customer Service and Scheduling functions on graphics related issues.
Inspect finished color okay material; determine root cause & corrective actions for unusual graphic or printing defects that inhibit our ability to run to customer requirements. If needed acquire outside resources to correct issues and/or initiate communication meeting between proper resources to determine path forward including department resources, concord services, sales, separators, ink vendors.
Utilize data to identify specific graphics with issues and drive improvements graphically.
Manage MeasureColor system and corresponding equipment Measurecolor equipment.
Ensure jobs and colors are uploaded and production ready when jobs hit press.
Work closely with printing department to improve graphic consistency from run to run.
Oversee and develop plate room employees as full service, graphic specialists.
Ensure all plate room systems are in-tact and functioning properly while developing new or improving on these systems as required by the business including: color/copy material management, graphic file management, swatch management, work order accuracy, Prinergy Workflow
Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
Performs all other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
2 years work related work experience Kodak Prinergy Workshop preferred
Computer literacy with understanding of graphic production processes.
AS with minimum 2 years work related experience and/or technical education. Must have strong organizational, writing and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
Strong computer foundation with the ability to manipulate digital graphic files
Understanding of digital proofing, digital plate production and reading of CAD files
Must have good color vision.
Must be able to work with little supervision, make decisions and expedite necessary actions to maintain workflows.
Must be able to respond to company needs after scheduled corporate hours.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
