Manufacturing/Production Supervisor

Summary of Duties:
Responsible for providing leadership to a customer-focused team or group of teams committed to increasing quality and productivity. In accordance with organization goals, provides direction on activities and behaviors, motivates team members and facilitates team meetings. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Monitors team budget and ensures proper use of assets. Presents team suggestions and recommendations on processes and procedures aligned with organization budget, quality, and productivity goals. Reports to functional and/or organization management on team accomplishments, achievements, and productivity. Manages a shift and multi-department area.
Job Details:
Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production, total quality management, manufacturing, equipment, and material management.
Schedules work, assists with employee selection, reviews employee performance, administers work rules and disciplinary action, and recommends compensation.
Responsible for the productivity and product quality within specific program areas.
Initiates equipment upgrades, staffing adjustment, and processes modifications.
Monitors manufacturing operations to ensure conformance with OSHA, EPA, and FOS safety regulations.
Reviews, interprets, and responds, with the input of others, to assure manpower, equipment, and supplies are available to meet production needs.
Requirements:
BS in business or a technical related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of production supervisory experience (experience in automated assembly a plus) or 10 years of experience in a production supervisory role.
Ability and prior experience overseeing multiple programs at one time.
Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing principles/methodologies required (5S in particular with others being assets).
AS9100, ContinuousProcess Improvement, and SPC desired.
