Software Engineer, Mid
Key Role:
Provide software development support for research and development efforts and serve as a key contributor on a collaborative, fast growing, and expert software development team doing work that is critical to the project's success. Solve highly technical, complex problems and use opportunities for significant technical growth. Complete a range of activities, including designing software, operating architecture integration, selecting computer systems, developing design specifications and unit test plans, and troubleshooting client issues. Demonstrate and apply knowledge of multiple systems, platforms, and programming languages. Participate in writing systems documents, including use case design documents and support user acceptance testing and production systems deployment efforts. Demonstrate independence and leadership by working under minimal supervision. Work effectively in a team environment and interface with clients and team management, as necessary.
Basic
Qualifications:
2
years of experience with object oriented development, including Java in a UNIX or Linux environment
Experience with designing and implementing software to satisfy a given set of requirements
Experience with developing Web services and deploying them using application servers
Experience with the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing
Experience with JavaScript, Eclipse and NetBeans, Scrum, or Subversion and Git
Experience with creating new software that leverages existing libraries, APIs, and other resources
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree
Additional
Qualifications:
Experience with Linux based operating systems
Experience with MEAN stack, RESTEasy, or Ozone Widget Framework
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
BA or BS degree in CS or a related field
Clearance:
