Position Description
The Grp Mgr Logistics GLM DM is typically responsible for multiple customer logistics accounts, one large customer or one large customer site with $7M to $10M in operating revenue. It includes the management and improvement of services provided to the customer(s), as well as the development and implementation of customer performance measurements. The position is responsible for leading, guiding, educating and directing Customer Logistics Managers (CLM), Logistics Managers (LM), and/or Senior Logistics Managers (SLM) to be highly effective in a Lean culture. The GLMI role is the driver of the continuous improvement culture and responsible for cultivating operational excellent capable talent. This position has Profit and Loss responsibility for assigned account(s). May be responsible for leading new start-ups, as necessary. All work is subject to review by the GLM II/DCL and Ryder Corporate Process Owners such as Finance, Human Resources, Safety, etc. Error could result in customer dissatisfaction, loss of inventory, loss of profit, safety or security incident
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or minimum of 8 years relevant work experience
Master's Degree in related field preferred
Six (6) years or more experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, warehouse or industry related field. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills
Four (4) years or more of supervisory experience
Three (3) years or more experince in Profit & Loss preferred
One (1) year or more experience with customer interaction
Six (6) years or more of prior experience in leading teams in LEAN work environment preferred
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Ability to work independently and as member of a team
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Strong organization, analytical and computer skills
Able to create/develop an inclusive and engaged work environment across the enterprise
Ability to effectively manage Profit & Loss statements and drive improvement with the use of data
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Warehouse Operations/Solutions and Distribution Management (advanced level)
Knowledge of Lean principles, systems and tools (advanced level)
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (advanced level)
Knowledge of OSHA (advanced level)
DOT and Hazmat knowledge may be required based on the account (advanced level)
Responsibilities
Identify and/or solve operational issues with the account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity and results
Manage one or more customer account(s) to meet established metrics and performance expectations. Manage the customer relationship and identify potential opportunities for business growth
Manage the profit and loss statements for assigned location(s) and implement actions as needed
Supervise, develop and manage performance of assigned employees and maintain a positive employee relations environment at assigned account(s)
Maintain a proactive safety program within the account(s) consistent with company policy in order to provide a safe and secure work environment
Performs other duties as assigned

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
