Plan, direct, develop and implement effective manufacturing processes and activities to support new product introduction, quality (in-process/supplier), schedule, and cost goals.
Responsibilities
Develops and presents departmental and operational program budgets.
Manages plant facilities, plant services and security operations, to include; annual budgets, Operations capital plan, facilities layout, and compliance to safety and environmental regulations
Establishes goals and plans resources to achieve company strategic objectives and/or program requirements. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Support design concept activities for part and tool fabrication and use
Creates part fabrication documentation as required to support manufacturing and quality. This includes Bills of Material (BOM, general part flow sequencing, work instructions, first article inspection documentation and visual aided instructions
Recommends and implements process improvements to improve part quality and reduce cycle time and cost
Supports the resolution of technical problems at the direction of engineering management
Interface with customer engineering and part/raw material suppliers to resolve technical problems
Support generation procedures that implement operational and/or fiscal policies
Responsible for developing and justifying capital projects for fabrication and assembly areas.
Assist in processing, routing and programming procedures, sequences, and machine assignments for fabricating and assembly of new and existing products.
Confer with shop floor and support functions to assist in resolving manufacturing problems using lean and six sigma methodologies.
Review the design of new and existing products/components and recommend changes that will result in the most economical cost of production and manufacturing efficiency.
Observe and analyze current methods and processes and make recommendations in areas of improvement to bring about work simplification and cost reduction.
Develop and/or maintain department and manufacturing work instructions related to assembly.
Support other plant functions as necessary to include Design Engineering, Safety, Quality, and Six Sigma.
Qualifications
BSME/BSMET
3-5 years experience in fabrication of assemblies and subassemblies.
5 years hands on experience fixing and maintaining machines in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of working successfully with diverse groups and implementing process improvement techniques with an ability to work across functions and generate results without direct reporting relationships.
Strong prioritization skills and PC literacy.
Incumbents may possess the following certifications:
Six Sigma experiences a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
