Job Description :
Perform all facility maintenance and facility support functions including, soldering, plumbing, steam fitting, and pump maintenance. Work as a member of a high performance, customer-oriented, proactive team. Maintain accurate records. Operation and maintenance of high pressure air compressors and related equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot large capacity building sanitary and sprinkler systems. Be proficient in the assembly, fabrication, and insulation of mechanical piping systems of copper, PVC, CPVC, polyethylene, black iron, and galvanized steel. Troubleshoot and repair of plumbing fixtures and valves.
Keep facilities, material and work area orderly, exercising care in their use, maintaining general good housekeeping practices, and conforming to all ethics, health, safety, compliance and quality requirements.
Perform all plumbing, steam fitting and related work. This includes the difficult maintenance and installation of high pressure lines, high purity lines, hydraulic systems, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, etc. May direct others.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in team environment.
Minimum five years successful experience gained as a plumber or the equivalent in training/experience.
Journeyman status required.
Ability to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start.
Desired skills
Experienced in commercial/industrial sanitary and storm water plumbing.
Experience working with steam heat and piping.
